People always show me Lil Wayne songs and are like "dude, after you hear this you can't deny that he's the sickest'
It always ends the same, I still don't like him. He sounds like shit to me, horrible flow and just because he makes clever metaphors doesn't mean he's a good rapper. I dunno, just not my cup of tea. Lil Wayne owns everyone.. he produces soo much material and most of it is pretty damn good.. his mixtapes and remixes are absolutely sick.
Ive got to admit, Ive started to gain a lot of respect for Kayne West, I never liked him before.. but after listening to his new stuff, then his old stuff again.. I respect what he has to say, even if I hate his personality. |

I mean come on Bun made Jayz ad another verse to Big Pimpin cuz he smashed Jay on his own song and jays second verse still couldnt fuck wit Bun.. listen to Big Pimpin real good if you dont believe me and compare Jays two verses to Buns one .. he cant wipe buns shoes on that track thats why I was a hit

How does Lil Wayne have his fans under some kind of spell like he's seriously the best rapper alive? What a joke. Like ondrugz alluded to earlier, Lil Wayne just uses a bunch of punchlines that don't tie together or contribute to eachother. That's not like the greats who spin yarns and tell stories with good rhymes to a good beat. Also, can you list off rappers other than Wayne who have declared THEMSELVES the "Best rapper alive?" That's cocky and IMO loses big points in this...
That being said, I can't decide who's the best rapper alive. B.I.G. has some points with me, as does Nas, and even Jay-Z (although I don't know if he makes the list when it comes down to it--The dude's smooth as hell.) Fuck, even Busta Rhymes is good to me, he can put together some sick non-stop rhymes.
