the new Molino Mad Scientist

Is anyone having problems with theres? I had had both versions. The one witht he blue top and the one with the red lettering. The first one was spot on perfect. This newer version has a problem. I think the holes in the percolator are to small or something. Its very close to getting a hernia from trying to get a good draw off of it. I have used a few other Percolators i bought at the same time and they all do it.

Any help or information would be appreciated

I just got a Mad Scientist for a Christmas present and I noticed that the percolator holes are pretty small, like you said. They get clogged with resin pretty quickly. Try using a safety pin to poke through the holes and clear it out.

I haven't had the new one yet, but on the old one, it isn't the side holes that are too small, it is the pin like prick under neath the perc that goes into the inside tubing that could be a bit larger, causing less drag.

Does the perc on the Red one look different than the one on the blue?

Sounds like there's to much drag.

Does the perc have a 14mm joint? You could have a glass blower make you a custom perc for it if you came up with a design.

I have this and have the same problem. I dont know if its safe to make the holes larger or put more of them in? Either way the drag sucks and i am quite disappointed.
