Car Crash, Hit a deer doing 120mph

The night started out a usual night of chillin' with my friends and cruisin' around in my 94 Camaro Z28. We just came out of a McDonald's parking lot, where we indulged on some nice Burger King, haha. We were heading back to our house, I made a wrong turn down a road and it had started to snow. We were going the long way, but hey it was a long stretch of clear road, never any cops in the area. So we punched it, We were doing about 130 and I let off the accelerator. Now, its one of those moments where you think "Its 2am, its snowing, middle of nowhere... Is there deer?" ... we came over the next hill. Deer. I slammed my break with both feet and legs all the way to the floor. My legs were locked... 1.5seconds later... BANG. One "Oh FUCCCKKK" later and we had come to a stop. Half dazed by the airbag deployment and the ringing, we get out of the car. I swear I never felt more nervous in my life, I came around the front and looked at the damage. Biggest Sigh of Relief I have ever had. I couldn't believe it. The deer only bent the hood, and fucked up the fender and bumper.

Edit: I forgot to add that a state trooper pulls up behind us no less than 1minute later. He was fucking chill as fuck, haha. Then a local cop came and took our report and shit.

I still have no fucking clue how the deer didn't do more damage. It's probably only going to be about 500$ to fix. My friend and I work on cars, and he has his own garage, So luckily I don't need to pay labor which would probably be about 1500$ easily.(My friend just called a local shop and it would of cost 2,700$ to fix )

By the way, that deer was about 50 yards from the road. On the other side of the two lane road. It must of gotten a shitload of air to have gone that far. Its trippy to think about that. How far that much weight can fly that far, thats alot of force.

There are a lot of fatalities linked between hitting large animals and having them come right through the windshield killing the front passengers instantly.

Yea, we clipped a deer a couple of years ago in North Dakota. Feel very fortunate that you took care of the job right away and didn't have to slit its throat to put it out of its misery.

He probably went quickly, judging from the pictures.

you're lucky. I hit a deer going like 70 in my avenger, did less damage to my car than yours, but it had to be totalled because when the hood bent it fucked something up in my motor or my frame... it sucked. The airbags didnt even go off.
