Kid punches mother over Halo 3; fights with police

An Indian River County youth has been accused of assaulting his mother and attacking police, all because he was ordered to stop playing Halo 3. According to TCPalm, trouble began when the youth (whose name and age cannot be stated for legal reasons) was told by his mother to turn off his Xbox 360 as it was getting late. After he refused, his mother took his “air card” (Wi-Fi adaptor) from the 360, preventing him from playing online and prompting a fit of rage that would see the child frantically search through the house, before punching his mum in the face. The kid then retreated to his room, but soon had to deal with local Sheriff’s deputies, whom his mum had called following the assault. The deputies entered his room using a key kept by the mother, but also fell foul to the youth’s rage: he managed to punch one deputy square in the face before being restrained and handcuffed. He would later be turned over to the state juvenile authorities of charges of battery-domestic violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Im not defending the kid or anything but it sounds like the mom just came up in mid-game play and pulled the plug.. personally that shit would have set me off too.. im not a minor though, I have a little more control over my emotions.

Yes, but from what I gathered, he was asked several times to stop playing and refused. What he did was uncalled for... I'd be interested to know how old he is. We all go through pretty rebellious stages in our youth, and despite our parents usually knowing what's best for us, we choose to ignore them. This kid took it too far. It's sad to see how pathetic a large majority of our nation's children have become because of bad parenting... don't let them play so many video games in the first place and they won't become addicted to them. Video games accomplish nothing... childhood is supposed to be a time of mental and physical development, and video games promote neither. Don't get me wrong, they can be fun as hell, but only if you're responsible enough not to devote your life to them.

Just wait til GTA 4 comes out. Then we're REALLY fucked.

If She woulda took GTA from him, he may have hit her in the face and then stole her car. All while firing at police helicopters with an AK-47.
