Question about SSRIs (Prozac) [although it got long...]

Alright, so basically about a week ago, I attempted suicide (long story for another time), ultimately failed, landed myself in a behavioral medical center for a week, was diagnosed with depression, and got prescribed to Prozac. Now I know that Prozac is an SSRI, which if in my system will basically take the balls away from my roll. And that would be a no no. Cause for me personally, E/raves have been the best medicine in my life, treating not only my depression, but helping me deal with problems such as low self-esteem/confidence, and changing my whole life outlook in general into a much more content and positive one. But I'm sure you guys have already heard me say that a bajillion times. (You might be thinking then, "Why the fuck did you try to kill yourself then, Mr. ILoveLifeCauseOfE?" Like I said, long story.)



Anyways, herein lies the problem. I haven't, nor do I plan on (except in certain rare situations), rollin outside of a rave. And my future rave schedule is current looking like:

* Oct 27th - Monster Massive
* Dec 31st - Together As One
* (Not confirmed) Sometime in Feb - a rave with ATB

As you can see, that's only three raves in the next four months. I might be going to a couple more, but those are the only ones I probably will be rolling at. So although those nights will be forever remembered as some of the best ones of my entire life, they are accompanied by some 100+ normal days of being stuck alone at home with my parents and a shitty living situation. Right now it's only 11 more days until Monster Massive, but I still feel like shit now that I'm back home.



I really do want to take the Prozac in order to help deal with my depression alongside the E/raves, as long as it does not affect my roll in anyway. So here's my question (finally):

How long would it take the Prozac to completely get out of my system?

(Note: Dosage of 30 mg a day)

I guess a factor that needs to be considered is how long I have been taking the Prozac for. So I guess in your answer, you'd probably need to address that (e.g. if you take it for 2 weeks, it will take 2 weeks to get out, etc.)

Hmm... Honestly I think it took weeks to get out of my system.

IMO from all the SSRIs I have tried, not a single one has been as effective and cannabis.

It's all how you perceive things. You have to just stop and take a look at all the beautiful things on this earth. The trees, the oceans, the children playing on a playground, as happy as ever.

But if that doesn't mean anything, just remember if you're ever thinking about going through with that again, you'll never be able to enjoy another happy moment. No more rolls, no more raves. Who knows? You could meet that one perfect person and fall in love.

Like another guy said in a thread... If you want to kill yourself, just give it a year. So many unbelievable, great things can happen in a year that could completely turn your life around.

Find a 5-6 week opening between a rave, and take the SSRI for 3 weeks and see how your feeling. the extra 2-3 weeks should clear it out for sure. When I got off the SSRIs I rolled 2 weeks later and man... it was amazing, hadn't rolled like that in forever.

e sure made me happy when i was on it, but the next few days lacked.

If your depressed, e makes the next few days, at least for me, very shitty.

But, everyone is different.

Yea the next couple days are pretty shitty because of the comedown, but the 5 hours of the night are definitely worth it.


I guess then 2-4 weeks should be a good enough time frame to let it detox out. It's a 2 month break inbetween Monster Massive and Together As One, so I guess right after Monster, I'll start taking the Prozac and stop a month before TAO just to be safe.

well, if your attempting suicide on those down days, i dont think thizz is for you.

Your basically risking your life.. not even life, happyness for the next few days becouse you wanted to get high for 4 hours the night before.

Shitty IMO.
