I like the idea of the site, it's a great idea. But if you want your site to be taken seriously you need to take care of the type of language you're using.

The language you're using is not professional, and it may not seem bad to you, but if you want to be succesful and your site to continue you really should think about targeting a broader audience.

This is the most important thing you need to understand if you want to really get the message out and be taken seriously: Target Christians. Target the working class. Target mature adults, in other words people outside of the counterculture. Moms and dads. That's who you need to be targeting. You're wasting your time, and you're building on territory that has already been established. There's already a lot of people that are pro legalization for marijauna. But if you want to reach new people you have to step out of your bubble. But if you target Christians, make it short and to the point. There are a lot of denominations, and if you go sourcing to articles that take a really liberal view or arn't legitimate , or don't back up, people won't take it seriously. If you need something typed up that is really legitamate to target Christians, let know. My tactics are short and to the point, as can be seen in my signature.

Another thing. Your web graphic doesn't have anything that a person at a glance would recognise as marijuana. I just thought if you put a word about cannabis in the logo or put a small cannabis leaf there it might help.

There should be some place where people can talk about medical research papers or news that doesn't fit with your agenda. There has to be room for comparison and discernement. It's much more professional.

Make a deal about vaporizers because people have an image about smoking cannabis that's it's unhealthy and letting people know there's better alternatives to using it.

Once you start getting more hits like a lot more, put up a donation link, and sell hemp merchandise. Getting those google hits would be a really good idea.

Put lots and lots of information about help products. That is so important. People will be much more motivated to become active for legalization if they understand what a useful product it is, and make sure you get all of your claims straight seriously. It's so great that you're doing this but I'll tell you if people had started doing this the right way years ago, cannabis would be legal now.

Have cannabis advocates write articles for your site. Do interviews with research doctors who have worked with cannabis. Get out a newsletter.
More articles the better.

Added a links page, removed Cannabis Culture ad, placed an unobtrusive grasscity ad on the bottom of the pages.

Also played around with meta tags to get our site on the front page when you search for "Above the influence"

Went to wally world and got some stickers to print the above the ignorance website on. I've placed quite a few of them around my city at drive through food places

The thing that pisses me off about websites like abovetheinfluence is how they go on and on about how you should make your own decisions and then rag on people who smoke pot.
SMOKING POT IS OUR OWN DECISION. If we really wanted to be like everybody else we probably wouldnt smoke weed
