I didnt vote for him.
It didnt even matter who we voted for, he elected himself.

It just doesnt make any sense that clinton got impeached for way less then the stuff bush has already done.

Impeach? There needs to be grounds for impeachment, there needs to be evidence that the president/vice resident has done something illegal, and not just anything illegal. It has to be a high crime like treason, perjury or bribery. And EVEN if a president is ever impeached, that doesnt mean he is taken out of office. Remember now Clinton was impeached. For someone to be removed from office he would need to be impeached and then convicted by two-thirds both houses of congress. Also in the court case in which the president were to be impeached, the vice president would preside over the proceedings, and vise versa

The U.S goverment is so deeply corrupt that this would never happen. First of all all the documents that would prove a guilty party have already been "lost" or "destroyed". There are agencies out there to detect corruptions in the goverment, hell if they cant do it, how do you expect the average US citizen to?

Impeachment is extremely rare, only to be used in "extreme circumstances". Only 17 officials have ever been impeached. Among those 2 presidents (Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton).

I agree that many US citizens are at fault simply because of not voting. It is not your right to vote, it is not a priveledge. You should be fucking put in jail for not voting. But then again there are so many ignorant and just plain stupid people in this country I wouldnt expect them to actually look into the candidates. I swear to god if I ever hear another person complain about this presidency or the next but wouldnt take the time to put in an education vote Im gonna stab the american flag right through their heart. It just pisses me off so much that in this country we have an opportunity to elect someone to office. Sure it may be a little more complicated, but if everyone took the time to research the candidates and their views and plans, not just the propagandha spit out at rallys, then we would never have another George Bush.

Thus why Im moving out of this damned war monger of a country.

The reason why I hold a grudge against voting (even though I have in every local and state election since I've been able to) is because of the electoral college. The bottom line is that we straight up do not elect our president. His golf buddies do. It's bullshit.

The (intelligent) youth of today's America doesn't want anything to do with Bush's government. We hate him, I would love nothing better than to see him assassinated.

The only thing that could help America now would be... Wait, I'm not sure there is anything. This will be proven if anyone other than Barack Obama or Ron Paul are to be elected. And of course I'm going to vote.

If I were Bush I would be afraid to speak in public.

whoa whoa whoa, coin op. Rasta may have been a little general with that statement, but there's no reason to go cussing out a long-standing member like that, regardless of how you feel.

take it easy, man. Shit like that will get you banned in a heartbeat.

and we're falling back on seniority? thats just the kind of attitude this place should be against.

I'm not saying he's a bad dude, I'm just saying I'm pissed at his over generalization.

It's alright to be pissed, he pissed me off too, but name-calling is one of RMJL's biggest pet peeves. I'm no admin, do what you want. I'm just saying it's highly frowned upon.

In my opinion, you were in the right. Rasta was being very general and then very childish when people had a negative (even though mature) reaction to something he said. It's kind of what he's known for. Or what I've come to know him for, anyway.

I was just looking out for you man, name calling is specifically against the rules and I wouldn't want someone to get banned for flying off the handle a little bit.

After I saw how this thread was heading I wanted to avoid it like the plague, however, I could not stop myself from commenting on this post. I have many other comments, but I dare not speak my mind.

Yes, Apathy. What else would you call it? I am sure there are many people in the US who utterly hate the direction their Government has been heading in who are trying to do something about it. I am also sure there are some who hate it, but have no clue what to do to make things better. I am also sure that the majority are apathetic, and more concerned with what is on TV, the latest fashion, or upcoming movies, and their own little lives, to even care or pay attention to what is going on around them. Do a google search for Apathy and America... Rasta_Man is not the only one who has used the word to describe Americans, though he seems to be getting all the shit.

I normally neg rep people who resort to name calling, this time is no exception to my rule.

No rebellion was ever instantanious. They dont happen overnight. They require careful planning and loads of stealth. Hell, the American Revolution was in the works for 20 or so years before the Declaration of Independence was ever even signed. We wont ever be able to change things instantly, so dont ever expect to change the world in a day.

Also, do you have any idea of how the world economy, no the world in general, will be if a coupe was held against america, and actually succedded? Think about that.

If you really think about RM's statement, it's actually more true than false.

I do not include myself in those that he is talking about, but you can't deny that AT LEAST 50% of this nation could give a fuck what's going on in the world.

Don't jump on the man's nuts, he's not just some dumbass blabbering non-sense.

How about we get back on topic about how much OUR country sucks...
