Healthy Lifestyle Changes.

So, before I went to college I used to be all into athletics. I used to play Hockey and Throw for the Track and field team. Used to be a pretty built guy.

Unfortunately, two years of college has changed that. So lately I've been making some good lifestyle changes.

I stopped drinking soda and iced tea like I used to. This was the hardest one for me. I used to drink sodas all day, and half gallons of Wawa iced tea at a time. Now I only drink water and diet green teas.

I stopped eating as unhealthy as I was also. Instead of getting 12 inch hoagies for lunch every day, I eat a turkey and cheese sandwich with no Mayo, only mustard on there. Been eating a lot of healthier things also, like baby carrots for snacks instead of poptarts and tastykakes.

In addition, every morning I've been home this summer I've gotten up and went for a jog for about a mile. It's nice that it's becoming a ritual, I think this more than anything is going to help me thin down a little bit.

I just wanted to make this thread to look for some support from my fellow blades, or maybe inspire or support anyone else who is looking to be a little healthier. It's really not as hard as I once thought it was to live a little healthier and feel better.

I love healthy lifestyles. I run and do yoga 5-6 times a week, eat mostly vegetarian due to not liking the taste of meat and I don't like the taste of most sweets like cakes, etc, so I got lucky on my diet. Congrats on being healthy!

I try to do the same. I rarely eat pizza or hamburgers, every meal I usually have is with water or some type of juice, I cut drinks out a LONG time ago. And I exercise 3-4 times a week. A healthy life is a good life.

The mere fact that you've cut soda out of your diet will drastically benefit your health.

You're off to a good start.

I, too, cut down my soda in take recently. I still drink clear sodas sometimes (apparently they're slightly healthier?), but I'm trying to drink more water and juice.
