Every year the Sonoma State University creates a compilation of top 25 news stories, that did not make news, but SHOULD HAVE. Stories that were ignored, overlooked or simply forgotten
If you actually go to the Project Censored website it explains in much greater detail about each one on the list. It's quite an interesting read to say the least.

Oceans of the World in Extreme Danger

This pissed me off. I go fishing and hardly catch any fish. Even 20 years ago our oceans were more plentiful. I dont kill the fish, just like to catch them

It doesn't surprise me, I hate the news in this country, I'm sick of hearing about Paris Hilton, and other things I don't care about.

To them, science and environment are "boring" issues, so they don't give two-shits about informing you. (Unless they're trying to scare the fuck out of you.)

They're in it to compete for your attention, not bringing news to light.

I've worked in the media as a jouranlist and still know people within it. The news we see in the UK is almost entirely that which our government allows us to see. Journalists/newspapers were told a couple of years ago by them to concentrate primarily on celebrity stories, and that's exactly what we get.

You'll not find one journalist working on ANY national paper here who thinks that we have freedom of press in England.

the whole media pisses me off. if they arent fabricating stories, or forcing propaganda down your throat, they are jamming a microphone in your face at your worst moment asking you how you feel. It seems like all the major channels care about is paris hilton ( I despise her stupidity, and whole demeanor ((sp?)) ), Anorexic Nichole Richie, and a coked out lindsay lohan, no wonder kids today are in such shambles. I concur, the news in the US is bullshit. I would rather read about somehting that is endangering us or the world than how some slutty star got pulled over drunk and might be going to jail.....
