whether you are a mma fan or not, i think most of you guys can appreciate a clip of 43 year old randy couture fighting 6'8" UFC HW champ tim sylvia...

First off Id like to thank you for posting the fight. Second, I wouldnt even call this david vs. goliath seeing as randy is such a crazy step up in skill from tim. Tim has never fought anyone like randy, tim was never was a true champ, he was only champ due to a lack of competition. Tim hasnt even fought anyone of champion quality because the ufc hw division is trash. Im so happy about this fight. Its just sad that crocop is going to come and kick randy in his head and take the title.

Just think about what liddel could have done to tim. Just think about what crocop would have done to him.

But seriously; great fight. I really like both Randy and Sylvia, they're great fighters, a real clash of the titans.

shasta, i dislike tim sylvia more than anyone, trust me...but,

to say he hasn't fought anyone is a bit too much. he beat Arloski twice (the first one was luck and the second fight both men fought not to lose, if you get what i'm saying).

and as good as randy is, he has had problems with "big" guys. look at some of his losses in his career. ricco and josh barnett are two i can think of off the top of my head.

not to mention the fact that he hadn't fought in over a year. when you fight a guy that outweighs you by 30 lbs and is 7" taller, that is a tough fight.

anywho, i almost put $ on randy and i wish i had now...

you are correct about crocop though. half of me is almost scared for randy.

but half of me also remembers that crocop lost to randleman, so he is human.

UFC hw division is pretty trash. Crocop's gonna clean it up.

I watched this fight on ppv with some buddies and we all almost shit when randy knocked tim down withing the first minute. You could see in sylvia's eyes that he wasn't ready for this fight.

I get what your saying but I dont think that was champion level competition. When your talking about a hw title fight you should be talking bout people like nog, crocop, fedor, barnett, or at lest aleksander emelianenko, not jeff monson and cabbage. Arlovski is debatable as a top level fighter, in a few years he will certainly be one.

I think the hws that randy has been beat by were better than tim. Outside of being huge, tim is trash. I mean barnett... tim wouldnt have made it 5 rounds.

None of this matters though because the title is going to be crocops. I dont want it to be but it will happen (90% chance).
