What is a favor?

Scenario:

My girlfriend and I got in our first little beef after 2 years of being together. It was about something stupidly small, it always is I suppose. Basically she got mad at me for not wanting to stand outside while she got a sandwich from a gas station. We were biking home and were about 90 seconds from my place. I wanted to go home to unload some groceries rather than stand outside and watch her bike.

The favor: I stand outside in the cold for 5 minutes so she doesn't have to spend 30 seconds locking and unlocking her bike.

My question:
Was I just being a whiny bitch?

Second question:
What is a favor and when can you ask one? In this case I was asked to sacrifice 5 min. so she could save 30 sec. My loss is therefore 10 times > than her gain. I've been under the impression that favors should only be asked when the gain is > than the loss. Like if it would take her 6 min to lock her bike asking the favor would be perfectly OK.

My apologies for any confusion as my mind isn't working on all cylinders at the moment.

anyways i think your thinking about this way too much, a favor has never been so complicated after reading what u just wrote, if you love the girl then you shouldnt mind doing her favors

Yeah I probably am over-analyzing it. I do love her and know it's mutual I just don't think you should ask people you love to do things that mean you have to sacrifice substantially more than they gain. Like is it a favor if I ask someone for a hundred dollar bill because I like to see fire? My gain is a 3 second flame while their loss is 100$. It just doesn't seem right.
