Lightbulb Very Addicted To Caffiene

sooo im wondering if any of you have any experience with going cold turkey with caffiene. ive heard the withdraw can be really intense. im just wondering about your experiences/advice

more importantly, will smoking weed help distract me if it gets bad

sidenote: i drink a shitload of caffiene a day, coffe in morking, then energy drink or two, than pop all day. i never drink water or really anything without caffiene. i want to experience withdraw and see if i can deal with it

Expect headaches, nausea, and irritability. That's what happened to my sister when she went cold turkey. From what I remember, her withdrawal lasted like 5 days or so.

I imagine smoking would help with most of the withdrawal symptoms.

thanks for the replys, i kinda wanna cut back on the pop cuz im trying to be healthier and loose some weight a packed on from repetitvely getting injured the last year and a half

also, it may sound weird, but i want the experience of dealing with a withdraw. its a curiousity since ive never so much as even thought about smoking cancer sticks, and my only "drug" is MJ, i dont even take prescribed meds, nothing unnatrual goes in me except caffiene

Caffiene withdrawls are nowhere near Nicotine withdrawls.

cool to see im not alone, and yeah im kinda OCD on seeing what things are like, ever seen those fly zappers that look like tennis rackets? every time i see one i have to see if it has any battery power the hard way, lol

EDIT: D-SHIZNIT, yeah, im not curious enough to try them at this point in life, all my friends are smokers basically, and seeing them and family members bitch and moan is all the anti-tobacco i need, lol

no. don't fuckin smoke cigarettes to experience withdrawls. that is the stupidest decision you could make. cigarettes don't give you anything positive, they are not cool, and really just waste your money. I smoke cigarettes, and from experience, they will take over your life.

yeah deff dont do it for the experience, the only kind of positive, is that 2nd hand really is bad cuz your body doesnt build up tolerance for it since you dont auctually smoke. so smoking and stopping could make 2nd hand not as bad in theory, just dont test it, its not worth the risk

the American Cancer Society has found that there is no causal link between second hand smoke and cancer. the "baditude" from second hand smoke comes with people's pre-existing conditions, such as asthma or a smoke alergy.

and don't fuck with cigarettes, man. i've been actively trying to quit in spurts for the past 3 years or so. Just when i think i've got it kicked, someone will die, i'll get absolutely hammered, or really bad traffic will happen, and i'll smoke 1 cigarette and be right back where i was when i started. it fucking sucks. i HATE the fact that i smoke cigs, but smoking's pretty much my favorite.

yeah, if you don't smoke ciggs. please don't try them, no shit, none of us would lie to you, we all love mj, and encourage you in your decision to smoke it. I have been smoking on and off for 30+ years. my mother is on breathing treatments. my brother is dying of lung cancer. I hack all the time and know they are killing me. you'd think it would be a fucking easy thing to quit for me. I even quit once for 6 years. then my x-wife and I split up, I had a rough year or so in which time I started smoking again, and wasn't right back to where I started, I was where my addiction would have progressed to if had continued throughout those 6 years. I quit a few weeks ago for 7 days, and then had some uncontrolable urges and drove 15 miles in the middle of the night to get a pack. I'm am desperately trying to psyche myself up for another try. any support from y'all would be appreciated. but especially don't try this dance with devil, you may deeply regret it.

Caffiene is still something that you should not get addicted to even IN comparison to Nicotine. Why become addicted to anything, what kind of stupid mentality is that? It's like saying " I think, I'll try and fight this bear.. I mean sure, I'll probably lose but if I win TOTALLY WORTH IT and I can tell ALL of my friends and they'll all be really, really jealous "

Okay, fighting a bear would be tight but "fighting" an addiction is an idiotic move that NOBODY will appreciate.

Honestly, who would care if you fought off smoking cigarettes or caffeine.

I guess I don't get addicted to things very easily. I drink soda/tea all the time. I can go without soda or tea for as long as I want. Usually I'll just drink water or something but if there's soda around, which there always has been most of my life, I'll grab one. Sometimes I go weeks drinking 90% water and don't really have any withdraw symptoms. Honestly if water didn't taste like shit to me I'd drink it over soda. $12 a month for all the water I could possibly want vs $1.xx for a bottle of soda.

I smoked cigarettes for 2 years and quit cold turkey about 6 months ago. I was more addicting to smoking than I was to nicotine. It was just hard to get used to not lighting a cigarette when I go somewhere in my car or smoking a cigarette before I go to bed. Sometimes if I was out I'd smell a cigarette burning and start wanting a cigarette but it would always go away after a few minutes. I've bought a total of 2 packs of cigarettes in the last 6 months and both times were a few months apart just to see if I really did kick the habbit. Both times I'd get about half way through the pack and be sick of them already.

Weed definitely helped me kick my cigarette habbit. Whenever I wanted (not need, just wanted to go smoke and chill on my balcony) I'd roll a joint instead of smoking one of my roommate's cigs.
