Now isn't that some shit? I need a suggestion of some good software that will let me burn avi's and mpg's and stuff onto dvd's that I can watch on the dvd player thats on my TV. Any suggestions? I feel like a noob but I really have no experience with burning and ripping dvd's.

try winavi for converting the files then nero express for burning them programmes like these are available on good torrent sites ..need any more help just pm me

I used to have some Sonic software that did wonders on ALL of my movie formats, even the ones i didn't have codecs for in WinAmp or WMP... but Im not sure if Sonic is the right name at the moment...

"VSO Divx to DVD" is your best bet. It can pretty much convert any .avi file or .mpg file to a readable DVD.
