Do you feel more "at home" when you're high?

Well I'm assuming a few ( ) of you are daily smokers who are high quite often.

Do any of you actually feel like the way you perceive reality when you're high is actually more normal to you than when you're sober? Like you just feel at home when you're high, like this is how you SHOULD feel. Basically where you feel normal when you're high, but odd when you're sober (No that doesn't mean you have to actually be high more than sober)?

I feel this way, quite strongly infact. It's been quite some time since I actually got high, I suppose due to tollerance, so it just seems like a new way of seeing things instead of actually being high... and I prefer that to the sober way of living. Of course many people would like to be high all the time, and some would say getting high should be a treat on occasions, but it's not even getting high at least to me anymore, it's just changing outlook.

Just to know I'm not crazy, is anyone else like this?

Yes, actually ive gotten so used to weed, its almost legal in my eyes. It's like a routine. But when your high all the time, being sober can be a trip, too.

i totally misinterpreted the title before i read this post.
and i was going to say that when im high, i feel way more comfortable wherever i am, like im litteraly at home. but i think everyone does.

anyway. i dont smoke that often, and i personally think that having high become the de facto state of being in your life is a stupid choice. most people do enjoy the effects of being high, but mostly because of the contrast to normal life, and because it is something special.
It seems to me that being high everday for a couple of months would quickly become boring, because certain problems would come up in that case, just as certain problems with never smoking come up.
i think that anyone who says that being sober is a trip, because they are always high, should really consider what getting high means to them. do they do it ecause its fun and relaxing? or do they do it because they feel that they HAVE to do it, to get by?

To each his own.

I'm still sober 80% of my waking time. And yet I feel more normal when I'm high.

The only problem that comes up with daily smokng for a long period is a high tollerance. And that's why I said it's not even about getting high. I don't get high, but I still get a whole new outlook on everything. In my thought patterns, even visually. Everything still physically looks the same visually, but there's something different about it still. It's not being high, it's just an alternative state of conscious.

I don't enjoy it because of it's contrast to sober life, I enjoy it just because it feels right.

i know exactly what you mean. once about 4 years ago i stopped smoking because i convinced myself that it was "bad" and "wrong," that kind of thing. i smoked around 6 months after that, and i remember thinking how stupid it was that i thought it was wrong, because i felt so much better and so much more normal and able to cope by thinking from a different perspective in that frame of mind. i only smoke a joint 3-5 times a week now.

On average I probably smoke 3-4 bowls a day, if you average in what I smoke with a buddy or two also. If I had like an ounce, even by myself, I'd probably be smoking even 4-5 a day. And still I'm mostly sober... tollerance is cruel, ya don't stay high that long.

In my opinion, I wouldn't like the feeling of being high almost becoming the norm to me...it just strikes me as...well unnatural.

Marijuana to me is a recreational drug, and when the high becomes the norm, then it becomes more than that. I also find it's alot more special being high when it's not my natural way of percieving things.
