Simplistic Thinking

Hey City,

Man, I'm sitting here thinking, I know this is obviousy way out there to actually happen but, Why can't people just be simplier?

Why can't people realize their lives effect everyone anothers- thats why we should all strive to be the very best no matter what we do?

How come we cannot realize were all here on this EARTH- not country- planet together, we need to get along, and help each other out.

The above could be accomplished if people respected each other and came together to realize a common goal. Stop fighting drug wars/terror & the war on/holy wars/genocide

BILLIONAIRS should not exist, if you have that much money give more of it away to help people out. I know this happens but it's still not enough when your making BILLIONS.

not a day passes by without thinking about how much we are fucking ourselves over.

I've thought about the whole "World" thing a lot. We divide ourselves up, when really, we're all living on the same land mass, travelling on the same seas, and flying in the same air. It's ridiculous to think how seperated we can be, and we're just a small part of the universe. We need to start thinking as a globe. The UN is doing a good job at taking a whack at this.

Well, I think we doin' that already ...Just there are roadblocks. And yeah, I don't particularly like the fact that billionares exist, however, look at Warren Buffet. I think this guy sets a good example. He lives not in some Hollywood Hills mansion, but in a modest 3 story home in Omaha, Nebraska. And he's donating like 48 billion hopefully to a good cause. And he also influenced The Gates' in the ways of philanthropy. I don't know how ethical most billionares make their money or how ethical it is used, but a lot of them do influence humankind in a positive way, or at least try to. Richard Branson's donating a bill to help fight global warming...just a few examples...If u think of how much 1 billion is...it's rediculous. Especially a billion dollars...

though i loath religion, the golden rule, as i was taught in catholic grade school,

"treat others how you would like to be treated"

is truly a great rule. just think about it.


edit: now how the church justified the crusages within the golden rule, i'll never know.

It sucks though- what can be done to actually get something accomplished now?

I mean- the internal gov't is corrupted just as much/if not mor than the higher up figure head gov't we see. No matter what officials are elected in corruption is going to take over.

People are fucked- we are reaching our own demise.

It's sad, People are going to end the existence of humans (maybe not in our life time but soon).

I went to a catholic school as well.

I believe the same thing, it just good to be nice and you should be nice when you can be nice- I mean whats better than that as far as living? Not being greedy, always being genorous.

I do not believe in religion now- this is just how people should be as a species.

Humans have been around in a relatively short existence so to speak- many people think our time is up.

I tend to agree- a lot of great civilazations have fallen due to conquer of other civilizations. Well we are at the point where it's gonna be the globe or nothing. Mass people and vast amounts of lands rendered useless can be created within hours if someone gets the urge ot do so- theres acess to some of the most detructive weapons ever.

The choice to make the world a better place rests with every individual. We can sit back and lament the fact that there isn't an equal distribution of resources or we can do everything in our power to affect this planet in the little slices we occupy. Understating our roles on this planet is a lot like voting, when one looks at the process one wonders "does my vote count;" and my answer to this is November 7, 2000. Humans use any number of justifications for their brutality, including religion, political views, or just plain old naked greed. IMHO when we stop blaming everything but ourselves for the present state of the world is the day we make Herculean strides towards changing it.

We live in a time where the common man can share anything with a worldwide audience...I think technology has led to a greater awareness and understanding for all humankind.
