Tattoo // Age Signing?

So a family friend from connecticut is coming to visit in a few weeks, and his son tyler is 17. Tyler was a friend of mine before i moved from connecticut, and his dad and mine used to play golf together. hes a cool kid, mature for his age and he wanted to get a tattoo when he got down here. Could i sign for him since hes not 18? Or does it have to be his parent/guardian?

I'm gonna get my tat the same day if i can sign for him, if not, sooner, but i think it would be fun to get ripped out of my skull with him and go get some ink. His parents have okayed this (Before you guys say its not a good idea cause his dad will get pissed, <3, good lookin out!)

if your over 21 you might be able too... im not sure, but id just assume that a parent/guardian has to sign it, if he's dad is cool with it, have him bring his dad to sign, and then you can just drive him home or whatever, however your gettin there.

yeah u can't sign for him, but u could always go to a shady tat shop that doesn't have a license, lol.

nexis, depends what state you live in, most states have very strict regulation...and i know down here in VA you must be 18 yourself to get a tattoo, no parental signature will get past it, you just gotta wait till your 18th birthday..

also, just some advice...don't drink or do drugs before getting a tattoo..it's kind of disrespectful to the shop (yeah, even tho most of them blaze too..) and alot of them even have signs that say 'if you're under the influence of drugs or alcohol, visit us another day'

Im in FL and thanks for that little piece of info, i've had a few piercings and haven't seen one of those signs, but i suppose they cant really do shit if someone comes in the next day and blames a tattoo on substanceuse

not even necessarily that....marijuana speeds up your heart rate, increasing your blood pressure.
alcohol thins your blood making you bleed more also..
no one likes a bleeder or a puker bro, adrenaline fucks you up enough when getting tattooed.

LOL actually around the time of my first tattoo i was dealing with a little bit of hypoglycemia..and hadn't eaten much that day (BAD IDEA)...so he starts and gets like 5 mins in..says i look pale (tho i still felt fine) so he asks if i want him to stop.. i said "yea sure" for no real reason...he stops, adrenaline dumps from my arm to my stomach..i break a cold sweat..couple later im spewing in the trashcan...which he then has to disinfect..then he finished the rest of my 2 hour long tattoo, lol... weird experience.

ALWAYS EAT SOMETHING BEFORE GETTING TATTOOED.

Just get him to say that he is 18, if they ask for ID then say "Sorry, I haven't got any on me." if they turn you down then oh well...

I recommend blazing before getting a tattoo, it hurts a lot less and you don't bleed any more than usual, drinking (alcohol) before is not good though (you bleed like fcuk!)

Exactly, my mate got tattooed the morning after getting pissed up (drunk), the tattooist didn't complain about all of the blood and he just got on with it. (Although he did fuck the tattoo up, a conincidence?)

Well, it would be smart to ask his parents if he could get one, if he does get one his parents might trip..

But, around here you could sig, as long as your over 18..

ca law is that if ur under the age of 18 you can not get a tattoo... 90% of the shops out here wont tattoo u even if u have a guardians sig or permission. it kind of sucks... when i was 16 and got my first tat i was turned down by bout 8 tattoo shops before i found a guy who was willing to tattoo me .. it was 2 in the morning he was drunk off his ass and i was high... one of the best tats i got... 6 years and 7 tats later its still one of my fav pieces.
