Don't dwell on the fact that you think you're depressed or you'll never get out of your funk. Try and exercise, find something new to do or someone new to do things with..I don't know it depends on what you like doing.
Iv been working out. I need to find a job though..? Any advice on whereto look or what type of job to look for

Ask around your friends and family; the easiest way to get a job (especially with the economy) is through connections like that. As for what you should do, I'd say anything you're capable of but don't hate too much.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dduZbDFCG_E"]Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush "Don't Give Up[/ame]
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose
Don't give up
'cos you have friends
Don't give up
You're not beaten yet
Don't give up
I know you can make it good
Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn
Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up
We don't need much of anything
Don't give up
'cause somewhere there's a place
Where we belong
Rest your head
You worry too much
It's going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up
Please don't give up
'got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river's flowing
That river's flowing
Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs
Don't give up
'cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are
Don't give up
You know it's never been easy
Don't give up
'cause I believe there's the a place
There's a place where we belong
The important thing is to not drown in your sorrow, but to refocus your energy and set small manageable goals, which are also measurable, so that you can see the progress you are making.
Good luck...

I come from a very dysfunctional family, no kind of structure or guidance. I learn more & more fucked up shit about my roots almost daily.
I feel like im useless. Not saying i should be out changing the fucking world, but i just feel like... Fuck man, i dont know.
What i do know is i need a fucking game plan. I need to be self sufficient so i can get the hell away from this place and these people.
To live my own life and not just get tossed around and forgotten in everyone elses.
Im 18 and i can feel those big boy decisions creeping up on me.
And truthfully, that fucking scares me

Sounds like you have a good mind.
Build on that...most campuses have a Career Center or some form of campus employment office or intern referral program (if you are already focused on a major, target companies in the field you are interested in).
Good luck!

Just get any job you can at first. It's always easier to find a new job when you're already employed. If you're in community college, just find anything that will work with your schedule, and then work on upgrading your work situation. But there's always part-time jobs around any campus.
Good luck, man!

But fuck it. I'm 22, and I doubt you're older/much older... we have time. Don't let it get you down. Being lost in itself opens up a ton of possibilities. Fuck sticking to a path know my opinion. But it's all a double edged sword
