expired cough syrup

does anyone know if it is safe to take expired promethazine w/codeine syrup... it expired on 6/30/05

Yeah its safe, when shit expires basically all it means is that it isn't as strong as it originally was or something of that nature.

Drink that shit up, or soak a black and mild with it and smoke it. You'll be leenin hard.

Sell by dates are there for a reason.

Some medications will decrease in potency, others will increase in toxicity. My advice to you would be err on the side of caution, and don't bother. You could wind up with severe food poisoning type symptoms, or worse.

nah its fine, its been less than a year, thats not a big deal. most of the medicine and shit last forever but i normally throw them out if they expired more than 3 years ago. ull be fine, enjoy. but if ur worried about it at all its not even worth it just buy a new bottle

Sugar, who told you this? It simply isn't true. You should always check meds for dates; some can kill if they are out of date.
