2nd Shift workers... any here?

Ey... Yesterday was my first day after being switched to 2nd shift from 1st shift.

Let me tell you... im fuckin pissed. lol. Things are all fucked up and backwards and shit now. I was working 7am-3:30pm... now i work 3:30pm to midnight. See what im sayin? My who shit just flipped.


Anyway! Anyone else here workin 2nd shift? How do you handle that shit? lol... What do you do during the day while everyone is @ work?




Please respond, if not i will just have to do nothing but WORK, SMOKE WEED, and MOD! lol

UGH! I feel your pain. My doctor has me out of work right now for obvious reasons (for those who know) but I worked hours like that before she took me out. Luckily, (hopefully) when I go back, I'll go to normal day hours.

It sucks. There's no way around it. I'm one of those people who have to have time to wind down after work so I never could fall asleep until around 3 or 4am. By the time I woke up and chilled for a bit, it was time to get ready for work again.

I'm on my break right now cuz the restaurant is slow...But I'm working doubles all this week...8am to 12am=X....But I make atleast 300 a day doing this...today might be lower than usual=(.

RMJL... I am the kinda person who needs to prepare for sleep too, i ended up falling asleep @ almost 2 last night... then had to wake up @ 6 this morning and have been up since. In a couple minutes im gonna have to leave for work so i wont be able to sleep till FOREVER. Bah... not lookin good for the 2nd day but im sure i will find my way threw the BS.

p.s.- if i ever need to go to sleep, but im not tired... a nice bowl always calms the nerves

I used to work second shift (from 2:30pm - 1:00 am) it sucked but it's what got me in the door where I'm at. I didn't have to worry about passing the day though cause at the time I worked another full time job- only first shift from 6:00 am- 1:00 pm

The best shift I ever worked was from 4:00am to 12:00 pm, I had to wake up early but getting out at noon was the best- I would head to the beach and fall asleep till about 4:00pm and then still have time to shower before my friends got out of work.

i work 11-730 mon-fri, get home eat dinner, watch a lil tv, smoke a J, come to GC and then it is about time for bed

i also work 9-however long it takes to finish delivering on saturdays

I have the bitch shift... meaning, I work 37 hours a week at various times, and they call me when they need someone to fill... thus the bitch shift.

I'm actually just complaining because today I got woke up early because this girl called in sick which is BS because i just talked to her yesterday and she isn't sick, she just got back from vacation and wanted the day off which fucking pisses me off...

Sounds just like my life right now.

I work 3:30pm-12:30am...it sucks cus I end up sleeping from 3/4am-1pm, then spend an hour putzing around and 45mins getting ready, then leave for work and do it all over again.

Midshift (11-7) and 1st shift (7:30-4) are so much better, but because I'm the one with the most flexible schedule, I get the shit hours.

Oh well, the good thing is that this job is only seasonal. By the time i start to reaaaallly get fed up with it, my break from school is over and it's back to the college life!
