Yeah if you COULD manage to talk him down to $2000 then it might very well be worth it.

It will give you a couple years of solid use.

But i would suggest carrying a cellphone, and learning how to do simple maintinance because chances are something will happen and you will need a couple hundred to fix it.

Ford is the car my family grew up with. I got so bad, that now my dad drives an import.... yeah. This is the same guy who used to drive an old Cherry Red 1956 Ford Pickup with a Camaro V8

meh id talk him down some if you can

like rasta said, learn some maintainance, but you know what, i would tell you that for any older cars.

i got a 93 chevy truck and its in as good a condition as when it was purchased. It is all in how you take care of your possessions. Good luck with your purchase

thanks everyone for your thoughts,

the car has been maintained very well, pretty much granny driven, even though most of you say it's worth less, i dont know if i can get it for much less, but i'll aviously try. the only problem right now is a squeeky front end and no air cond. but there will be up and coming repairs i'm sure.

heres some pics,

I owned an 89 ford thunderbird back in 98. I paid less than 2 grand for it. I say you're getting ripped off. Big time. Check kelly blue book value on it. WWW.kbb.com. This is what it told me, and I don't have any information on your car, so I just punched in some basics. http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.u...;ucp;&15;FO;H1

Do what you want, but a car that's over 10 years old and OVER 250,000 is usually asking for trouble. Especially if you have to make repairs on it right off the bat.

Just my .02.

It is all on how good you take care of your car, how you drive it.
