I've been going out with my girl for a little more than 3 years now. Everything's going great, no complaints at all.

But, a lot of people have been telling me that I need to move on. That I'm still young and I'm just wasting time. I sure don't feel like I am though. My girl's like my best friend in some ways. Funny as hell, smokes weed, hot, just an all around perfect girl to be with for me.

All of you seem pretty intelligent, so I just wanted to ask your opinions. Do you find long term relationship a waste of time or are just happy with that one girl or guy?

If you're totally happy with her why change? Thats like breaking a RooR because you want to try out a PHX, Molino, whatever, you get the picture. Its a bad analogy, but the most suitable one I could think of.

Edit - And I say breaking it because it would be hard to get things back together with her. Ahh, the pun.

I say if ur really happy then stay with her. Why ruin something good for something u don't know will work. Don't loose what u already have. Thats just my opinion.

Oh, I know all of that. I was just wondering your guys' opinions. Seems like stoners have more loyalty to their loved ones than the rest.

All the others wanted me to sleep around on my chick. But, hell yea I'm totally happy.

Yeah man Id say if your happy, and shes happy, why mess around? You obviously have a good relationship going that will hopefully last longer, and you obviously enjoy her, so I see no reason why you should look around at other girls, especially if it could ruin the "perfect" relationship you have now

I am with my best friend... him and I have been through everything. We are constantly told that we are too young- but I honestly couldnt see my life without him by my side.

He strengthens me where I need strengthening.. and vice versa.

My mom always tells people... Who is she to say that we are not soul mates? If we are in love and young- then we are lucky. Many people do not find that in their lifetime.

If you are happy.. then there is nothing wrong with a long term relationship.

Believe you me.. TheColonel and I are perfect examples that true love can come at a young age.

Thanks, that really does mean something to me. I feel the exact way with my girl. Instant, strong connection that hasn't faded yet. I mean, we're not obsessed with one another. We just like one another's company a lot.

I know what you mean.. I love being around TheColonel. He brightens my day. People wonder how I spend so much time with him- but in reality I would rather spend my day with him than anyone else. Its an amazing feeling to have your best friend there... and that person be your companion and team member.

Its a pretty damn good feeling. Dont give it up for any other reason but your own.. if its not working out in YOUR head. Friends influences dont mean much when it comes to your love life. Unless its something serious- like shes mean to them.. then listen. But if its just a jealous thing, which it sounds like, just brush it off.

And its not like every relationship will be perfect ALL the time. You know that though, youve been together for 3 years. It gets rough- but how you move on from it and how you grow is a real measure of a true relationship.

I personally support long term relationships.. obviously.

He completes who I am.. Its wonderful to have someone to push me even further and help me suceed beyong what I expected.

...oops..just got too mushy.

Plus he knows where to get good weed.... without him- id probably be dry all the time.. usefull to have around :-)

I vote YAY!

If she accepts you for who you are and you accept her for who she is and you love each other unconditionally then keep the relationship going. It doesn't matter how old or young you are as long as your happy...and you seem happy!

dude dont leave her man, i was thinking about dropping my highschool sweetheart cuz its been so long, but i realize how perfect she is and i would die if i let her get away.

if things are going great, fuck what youre friends say...they arent gonna be with you as long as she might be.
