lst, tieing back, leaning, what does it all mean?

I was reading the forum and i saw talk about tieing back your plants to get more of a yeild. i was wondering.

1. What age of the plant is before you should tie it back?

2. A step-by-step guide in tieing a plant back in a pot/in the soil pls?

3. materials

4. what lst is?

5. anything that could be useful to a first time grower that have 4 plants 1 died and its been about 5 days lol?

Thanks for your help.

1. at which stage of a plants life should you tie it down is optional but i would advise not to do it untill sex has been determined.

2. tieing a plant is exactly what it says. i tie string around the top of the main stem and wrap it around a rock so that the stem is bent over. then, when other branches grow taller i also tie them down.

3. the only materials you need is string or garden twine and something to anker it down with.

4. lst, low stress training is training the plant to do what you want. in tieing the plant down you allow light to places on the plant that would not usually recieve it. after tieing it down the plant doesnt recognise the stem as being the main stem so it tries to grow another one. the plant will think the highest branch on the plant is the main stem so it will focus its effort in growing this part taller. after this happens tie the new tall branches down and the process will continue. the result is a shorter, bushy plant with more medium sized colas instead of one big one, thus increasing yield.

hope i helped
