Grow tyme.??

I was wondering, if the plant will flower when the days get shorter does that mean the longer the days stay long the more my plant will grow before its harvest tyme? I was curious b/c I have alot more long days before they get any shorter and was wondering if I will benifit from letting them go or should I try and bring them inside for the flowering. Just a side note they r prolly about 4ft tall now and I still cannot tell if they r male or female. Thanks for the help in advance. JOE>

yes the longer they veg the bigger and more yeild they will get. 4 feet is huge bro!
and you wont be able to tell sex untill it goes into 12/12

That is what I thought, but the sun has been on the 12/12 for 2 weeks now, I mean what do you consider 12/12 when you r using the sun, If it means the sun is up for 12 hours then it is that tyme already. I am just wondering if I am missing something, I mean can you see the pistols with the naked eye or do I need a device? JOE>

its possible to see the pistles with the naked eye but a lens of some sort helps a lot. the male on the other hand is easier to spot with your eyes but at 4ft tall the sex should be clearly visible. i wouldnt advise flowering early inside if you want a high yeild let it carry on in veg outside. nature knows best

Thanks fisher, I was sure I would be able to tell the males from fems but still can't these things r alot bigger than I thought they would be, but its all good cannot wait to see the buds it makes. JOE>

you'll see the pistils when they come out. they are vivid white hairs. usually coming out of top and at the nodes where new leaves are forming.

if it's been 2 weeks in flower already they should be there soon and probably accompanied by a few balls on other plants as well.

What on earth does that mean?

You can usually tell sex when the plants are 4 to 6 weeks old.

They will keep vegging until they detect the days getting shorter, round about early August.

Indoor growers switch their lights to a 12/12 regime to trigger flowering, but that term has no real relevance outdoors.

is there a more accurate light/dark representation for outside or does the plant just.. feel the mood

just make sure to give it plenty of fert so u can get a fatty yield off those 4 ft babies

Absolutely, let your girls flower in their own good time. They do it all for you. Outdoor growing is SSOOOO easy.

Those plants should of been able to been sexed many weeks ago. If they are 4ft. The females hairs should be clearly visible by now. I wouldn't rush them. It may cause you more trouble that you dont want. I wish you luck if you choose to bring them unside for the flowering stage.
