quick question for you

i have a quick question for you guys

im about to start my first outdoor grow after a few failed attempts and an indoor one

heres my question
after the plant is fully matured and ready to be harvested, is it possible to just cut off the buds and leave the rest of the plant? would it just go dormant over the winter and grow back again in the spring like other plants?

the reason im asking this is because im fairly limited on seeds and dont really want to loose a whole plant just to get seeds and i havent heard of any way to store clones for an extended period.

im sure this question has been asked a million times but i couldnt find anything with the search....or its just too retarded for anyone to even think of

naw, best curing method is to chop the whole pant. However you can get a few harvests off of a plant at once. Im not 100% sure how, its on this board somewhere, look for it.
