I am planning my fist outdoor grow in a deserty region that maybe gets no more than 4 rain storms a summer, and sometimes none. The tempertures during the day will reach 95-100deg in August and at night will get as cold as 45deg. I am not trying to grow monsters only trying to get some moderate yield. If I can only visit my plants once a week for watering will they survive?

Hell no not in a desert. The temp drops not good either. They need watering probaly once every 2 days.

Are you joking? One of my friends grew indoors under 400 hps and with 80deg temps and he only watered 1/3 of a gallon per plant once a week. Are you sure?
