Watering =(

My plants are being kept in very direct sunlight all day while it's light out, every day that i check the soil, it seems slightly moiste, but dried out. I don't want to overwater them and kill them, they each are about a week old, so what would you guys reccomend, that i just avoid watering them? or keep watering when the soil is dry every day?

thats the thing though, i do that every day, and i have to water it. I just want to know if this is normal, or if watering it every day might kill it. I've heard overwatering a little wont kill it at first, but over time if it continues the plant will die. Not sure if there is any truth to this. Any help would be great.

if the containers are small, water thoroughly every two days. if medium, then every 3 days.

Right now the containers are very small 1 inch tall, 1 inch wide, i plan on transplanting soon, however i lef tthem small for seedling growth. What i think is happening is the sun evaportates alot of the water (these plants have no shade what-so-ever at the moment), they will only be in direct sunlight like this for about another week. What would you suggest based upon this information?
