solutions for root rot
hello, im growing outside in the ground with 1 ft of good soil then 2-3 ft deep i hit gray clay that preceeds the water table at 3-4 ft. is this a good growing medium if i dig large holes? Will the close water table cause root rot or will my plants thrive?

hmmm i never seen grey clay before...we have like red/brownish clay....i dont know how ur roots will act to this....maybe just add lots of perlite so they get oxygen..
