Durban Poison budding nicely - how long to go?
Hi all,
These are pics of my first grow, she's a Durban Poison strain, 4ft, 3 months old and one month into flower. She's getting plenty of warm mid-summer sun (in the southern hemisphere) and happily living in a rich soil mix with regular organic fertilizer tea soakings. She's flowering very early, which I believe Durban Poison is known to do, but probably would not have flowered as early if I didn't need to hide her behind my shed (depriving of light) while my inlaws stayed for xmas! Also, I think she would be much larger had I not transplanted too late. How long do you think she's got to go? After all, the hottest summer days are still to come this month and they're not getting noticably shorter yet. I also have some very healthy White Widows and pure Afghanis, showing their sex and hinting at flowering. For anyone interested, I will post pics of them too once they get top heavy :] Best IMG_1135s.JPG IMG_1136s.JPG IMG_1140s.JPG Last edited by cjm; 02-06-2006 at 02:14 PM. |

its called kalashnikov...

if you say they have been flowering for 1 month already, the its most likely a month away(earliest flowering is 7-8weeks to mature and the latest could be 14-15 weeks depending on the genes)
If you don't know the exact flowering time then you can tell by looking at your plant...when the hairs turn 50/50 cloudy/amber then its basically time...let it dry out the soil good and cut ur down!

Cheers mr designatedtoker, thanks for your comments , yes, I certainly will be waiting until she displays more signs of maturity. At the moment she doesn't smell much so the resin is yet to come as well as brown hairs which is typical on this strain. For example:

My guess is it will still be budding in a month, but would appreciate estimates from more experienced growers out there. When I get back, hopefully I will have plenty more photoworthy pics to post!
