mold

one of my plants got mold spots on parts of some of the branches and killed the buds and needed to be removed and kind of fucked up my plant. I have never got mold on any of my outdoor plants and was wondering what causes this mold. Any help's good.

You did the correct thing of removing the infected part(s) of the plant. As soon as you see signs of any type of mold, immediately remove it.

The cause of fungus and molds are heavy rains and humid conditions.

Do you have any pictures of this?
