First Outdoor Grow Drying And All Steps After That Help

Hi All, I Just Grew Outdoors For The First Time And I Have Been Reading Everything You Guys Have Been Saying But I Just Have A Couple Questions. One I Love This Website I Just Found Out About It And Its Amazing. But Really I Just Wanna Know I Have 8 Plants Im About To Take Them Outta The Ground.. Now Is It Better To Dry Them Hangin Upside Down In My Basement Or Should I Hang Them Upside Down In The Garage... I Thought Basement But Ive Never Seen It Said Here And Ive Seen Garage So I Was Just Wondering About That.... Where Should I Let It Dry How Long And How Do I Clip It And Not Waste Or Clip The Wrong Stuff Obviously I Know Not To Clip The Nugs In Half But I Mean The Rest Of The Plant. Thanks And Any Help You Can Give Me Would Be Helpful Thanks Alot....

so here goes, once the crystal have turned 50/50 amber/cloudy its time to take your plants. cut them by the main branches, then trim all the leaves off your plant. hang upside down... i would preferr in closet, i don't know about basement it might promote mold. dry dark 70 degree with lots of circulation. once the stems snap and not bend(could take week or 2) cut the individual buds off and place in air tight container for curing(mason jar) open the jars several times daily for the next couple of days. the nuggest will get wet again and slowly "sweat" out the rest of the hidden moisture and harhness. they will crisp up and then happy smoking. The curing process is important for sweet smooth smoke, i wouldn't ever leave it out. be careful not to put in the jars to early b/c it could also promote mold.

Take the trimmings and dry them then freeze, get you a 190 micron silk screen and look up making kif!

thanks alot, im gonna try to hang them in my garage or in my closet in my house somewhere, i live alone and dont care about the smell and no one is ever here so it doesnt matter where i put them i just want the best possible place. so i should use a fan or not because people have said yes and no and its good for circulation but it dries them out fast so i dont know what to do yet, and thanks im not goin to the basement anymore. just let me know anymore help would be appreciated thanks alot guys.

since you live alone then definitely put it in your closet. stick a fan in there for better circulation.

thanks for the help guys.. what i did is i got about 8 plants medium to descent size and i dont have a closet big enough or empty or with the room to hold more then 1. i would run outta closets cause i dont have that many without shelves or the room. so what i did was hang picture hangers with a rope going across in a room with 2 vents for the ac and heater, i read to keep the temp at 65-70 somewhere in this forum, i got a fan in there im gonna keep on low circulating around the room and i put blankets over 3 of the 4 windows and covered the 4th one half way cause i dont know if i want pitch black all the time during the day not just night or if light isnt that bad for them off and on, i still need help with that guys if anyone knows this... i just watered them for the last time and im putting them in the room in 2-3 days... i know i cut at the lowest point on the plants and im in no rush to dry them out fast so im just gonna let them hang then do the (blank) sorry im blazed...jar thing cant remember what they r called for a couple days and then start testing smokin lil by lil until its good for me.. i think this is everything i have to do.. i still want anyhelp anyone is willin to give me.. thanks again

as long as the fan is not hitting dirrect on the buds it will be coo, i dont think u will need a heater, it will just dry the plants to fast, and it will end up with a bad tase and thc wont increase to full pontecy... just let it hang for 2 weeks, check if complete dry by smokeing a bold, and if it smokes clean, it will be time for the cured process.. get some airtight jar, pack it up with the buds and stick it in a dark cool place, the longer it cured the better the high and tase.......

aight thanks, im bringin them in tomorrow nite, clip them up a lil, then im gonna hang them for pry like 2 weeks, check em...then ill finish clippin them all up then put the nugs in mason jars... now do i fill the jars with nugs, or do i just keep a lil in each jar??? i gotta pout the jars in a closet and like 4-5 times a day im gonna open the jars to let the air get out and in, i think i do that for like 1-2 weeks and ill just keep takin a bong rip everyday to see how they r comin along.. im pretty sure thats about it, cut the bottom of the plant, clip them hang em upside down, finish clipping then put the nugs in mason jars in a closet and thats it... all done and wow. thanks for everything guys and just let me know anything or any tips u still have also about the jars.

Fill the jars up with all the bud you want leaving a little room for shaking. You don't have to cure a set amount of time, the longer the cure the better. So just keep curing and take bud as you need it.

good look toker thats exactly what im gonna do, when they r done drying im gonna put them in mason jars and stick them in my closet in my room and when i wanna smoke, just go get some bud hahaha best feeling ever first harvest i gotta do this every year more then once a year maybe im thinking once in april put them in the ground and next julyish do the same
