Question Fertilizer Spray + Buds?

I've been giving my plant a 10-15-10 plant nutrients/fertilizer for a while now. I started putting it in the soil, but stopped shortly thereafter so as to not cause the soil to be too acidic, so now I put it in a spray bottle with water in a moderately dilute solution to be absorbed directly on the leaves. My question is do I have to worry about spraying this solution on the buds since they will be smoked. The new pistils have just emerged on the plant so I am still a few weeks from early buds, but I don't want to come out with buds that will harm anyone.
Anyone know?

Personally, if they're outdoors in good soil, you really cant overfeed them. I havent had any problems with pH outdoors and i fertilize the hell outta them.

My understanding with foliar feeding is that the nutrients are absorbed by the leaves, and NOT the buds. If the buds do not absorb the nutrients, and they are being purposely sprayed, you're looking at some kind of buildup + a mold risk. I would just be careful to not spray directly on the buds. If a little gets on there, it's no big deal.

They are outdoors and in good soil, however due to my current circumstances, I find that I am going to have to move them in as soon (or before) they start budding, will that pose a problem?

not at all as long as you keep a consistant 12/12 cycle on your lights. make sure that the only lights you use for flowering are HPS. they burn at more red frequency, which is perfect for the flowering stage.

You can flower with any grow lights. HPS is ideal but you can use flouros if you have nothing else. Since you're able to move them, i assume they are in pots. If the pots dont have good drainage, AND they're indoors, you should only water when necessary and make sure you feed them consistently.

If you're not sure about using lights or growing indoors, search the forums, tons of good info.

sure u can use FL if you have nothing else. but those provide minimal amounts of light, and dont create the amount of lumens required to get a decent yield. they also tend to give all buds airy characteristics, thereby eliminating dense spears.

I definetly appreciate all the advice on lighting, fortunately I know what I'm doing in that area and already have the lighting. What I was talking about in my post if you look at what I wrote was putting fertilizer spray on the buds, or putting it in the soil. And I was asking is if I fertilize it indoors in the soil with the soil become too acidic,

dont put fertilizer spray on your buds, they dont absorb nutrients and ferts. the leaves, however, DO absorb, and you can easily spray on them. as far as the buds are concerned, only spray water on them. as far as fertilizing the soil, if you add too much at one time you risk burning your roots. what i would do is dilute your ferts heavily and add them slowly over time.

The soil might become acidic...do you have a pH tester? I got one at a local nursery. Shouldnt be more than $10. My indoor crop grew extremely well in Miracle Grow soil under an HPS + 200W of flouros. If i added even a little bit of fert to the soil, they would get nute burn.
My advice is to definitely dilute the spray to 25% strength and work your way up. I would just pour it in the soil, if you then get a pH problem, foliar feed them. You won't kill em with a pH change from ferts; the leaves might show signs of nute burn but that's it.

The fert I use is a concentrate and says 7 drops per liter, when you say dilute 25% do you mean I should use about 2 drops instead? or is this a different instance?

yeah. basically use less fertilizer to mix in with water, or add more water. its your choice, just dilute your nutrients MORE.

will it increase the size of your buds? HA! OF COURSE! fertilizers give your plant the nutrients needed to perform such tasks as: growing and developing larger root systems, larger and thicker branches and stems, and everyones favorite: larger, wider, more dense, more resinous buds. the tricky part is getting the right fertilizers.

and if you apply the diluted ferts to your plants IN SMALL AMOUNTS OVER TIME, then your plant will be able to use more of the nutrient instead of being given a surplus and have the ferts change the pH of the soil, or possibly burn the roots, or just sit at the bottom of your pot and get washed out with the next over-watering.
