need some outdoor advice

ok heres my situation. i just started germing some seeds and im gonna put them outside near my house in the woods. the problem is that all i have around here is peoples yards and woods. theres not any areas where theres an open sunny place that isnt someones yard. last year i chopped down some trees to get some sun in the woods but it wasnet enough and my plants still streched. i just found an open space with no trees but the ground is kind of wet, actually its pretty wet, so what my question is, is it ok for the plant to be in really damp soil or will that not work?

mary jane will grow in almost any soil, so you should be alright, to get best results your soil should have good drainage though. constantly damp soil probably doesnt have good drainage.

i hear ya on that one but another thing i was wondering is the reason it is always damp is becase theres a little river that runs through it, so if the water is constantly moving and not stagnant would this almost act as a constant drip hydro system if i was able to fill a hole with some form of hydo growing medium and put the plant in that?

p.s 100 posts woohoo!!
