Help picking strain. Do I have enough time?

Ok for the past month I have been researching and reading in anticipation of my first grow I want todo this summer. It will be a stealth outdoor grow, in a location I havent chose yet. I move back from college in NC to my home in VA on may 10th. That is when I want to begin the grow. The problem lies in the fact that I have to leave to go back to school by august 18th.

Provided I start at the first chance possible and end at the last second, I have exactly 100 days (14 weeks +2 days) from germination to planting to growing to picking to curing, and everything inbetween. In reality, I would like to limit it to 12 weeks, as I cant feasibly find a secluded spot and prep the soil and other pre-planting work instantly the day when I come back from college.

As I said I have been researching. I have found a few good prices on a few strains I think I would like. BC Kush, Durga Mata, and of course White Widdow/Rhino. While all these would be great to plant and whatnot, do I have enough time (14 weeks) to fully harvest these plants? (I am also worried as people say some of these are tough for newbie planters, like white widdow).

I just learned about some 'early flowering' plants such as Early Girl. Would a seed like this work better? Got any other info or experience on plants such as these? I am worried about THC content, I really want dank high-THC stuff...I dont mind sacrificing a high yield for a moderate yeild of dank stuff. Is there any 'early flowering' plant that can satisfy these criterias?

alright man it's like this... marijuana usually takes around 6-9 months to be ready for harvest... now if you have clones off an older female then under lights no problem you can force them to bud. But as far as outside you will not have enough time... they onlyl thing i can suggest is buy a lowryder strain...preferrebly the original ( i went with the matanuska x lowryder by dr.chronic but i am only using this to get me by till my outdoor 05 harvest is done. ) the lowryder will go from seed to bud in 8 weeks. it will only yield around a quarter but you can seed out a plant and grow as many as you want considering you can't take clones from this strain. Actually there is a lot more to growing than just throwing a couple of seeds out...takes lots of time and effort. it's harder to guirella grow than you think.

6 to 9 months?!?! are you serious about that? I was under the impression it was a much shorter length of time...its not like people plant in march and are done in december is it? I guess im really fucking confused right now, could someone give me a timeline of growing your average strain?

also, where can I find this lowryder stuff? I googled it and came up with a site that is out of stock of it...

oh, and yeah im quite aware that guerilla grows are difficult, and I am prepared to spend alot of time working on it...problem is I dont have the greatest span of time todo it...

yes it takes 6-9 months for it to grow. the lowryder is a special strain which instead of having a seed, vegetative growth, and flowering it goes from seed straight to flowering... after about 20 days you will know whether it is a female or male...this is called autoflowering.

*lowryder is a special hybrid... normal marijuana however takes 6-9months....we normally plant in may and harvest in october...sorry dude just how it works

* take a look at my post in this forum with the pics...the top plant is like 2 1/2 months old.

srry forgot to post...get lowryder at dr.chronic...i think he is out of the original but he has it crossed with some normal marijuana strains to make it yeild more and be stronger but only about 50% of the seeds will have the autoflowering chacteristics...in this case you could get more seeds by seeding out an autoflowering female w/ a male autoflower!

hey dude i figured out why i think you are confused... you have been looking at seeds online... they give you the flowering time which is around 8-12 weeks... thats just so you know how long to wait after your plant goes into flowering. Outdoor growing has a lot to do with the seasons and time change. you can indoor grow however with clones from a mother plant and they will only take 3 months.

...fuck. I am starting to understand. I appreciate your help man. Yeah your right, I was reading all the websites and mistaking 'flowering time' as how long it takes from germination to finish.

As much as this info sucks (no outdoor grow for me...), I am still determined to grow this summer and I think I have a solution.

Most houses have basements, well my house has something called a 'crawlspace'. Its basically the underneath of the house except there is no floor, just the dirt of the ground. My parents have not been down there in 10 years (serious). It would be the perfect place to put a growbox for an indoor grow. It would be more secure, more secretive, and I could control it much better. All I have todo is solve the problem of getting electricity down there, and I am good to go.

On to figureing out what cloning is and howto do it. Someone should really make a website that spells these concepts out. I think that most growers think that these concepts are simple (cause they are), that they forget that new growers dont understand it. I still havent found a page that specifically spells out the differences and time between germination, vegetative, and flowering, and how sun cycles and shit effect it. Seriously, I hope someone makes a newbie guide to stuff like this soon...growfaq has the info, but not in newbie simple terms, ya know?

Shit, after reading, I learned I need a already flowering plant to make a clone. I dont even have one plant. Fuckshit.

So even if I do an indoor think underneith my house, I still wont have time todo it with any strain other than the lowryder. I read the reviews on overgrow.com's strainguide, and from what I understand its not too potent, and to get any good amount of weed you have to grow 20+ plants. This definatly isnt looking good...

Man im fucking depressed. I have no hookups for weed, so I figured I would grow, well now it seems the marijuana gods are fucking me over, and i wont be able to grow either.

hey man... well there is still some hope with the lowryder...its original form has an ok amount of thc...they have backcrossed and backcrossed to make it stronger. Well the joint doctor at dr.chronic.com has crossed the original with a couple of more potent strains...the plants get a little taller, they're stronger, yeild a little more...but only about 50% of the seeds will have the autoflower technique b/c it was crossed with an original lowryder(100%autoflower). you could put a bunch of those crosses out and guirella grow like that.srry its not going your way

well man so far my lowryder grow was on day 2 w/ a success rate of 10 of 10 seeds sprouting. well i went to them this morning and ahhh they were all knock over and dumped out...it must have happen last night during the bad wind... i managed to save 5 of them as that was all the ones i could find in the dirt. I hope they turn out ok.... if i get any that autoflower i'll let you know

alright...they will be sent fast! much faster than most companys i've dealt with. If you don't know how to tell if your lowryders are autoflowering look it up on google and it will tell you all about marc emery has a good description of the original lowryder.
