First outdoor grow questions

I will be attempting my first outdoor grow this season, I have had no problems with small.. 1 or 2 indoor grows, but I will be trying a large 20 - 40 plant grow this summer. I have a few questions though, what is the rough growing season for ontario canada? I know it varies, i was told march or aprilish, depending on how the weather is, and ending around september. I also wanted to know a general time to start checking for males<I.E. how many weeks it takes till I can tell, I have never gotten a male in my grows.>, I plan to just kill them young, I will aim to get 20 seeds, and start to grow them, and then clone some of the big berthas, how is the success rate of cloning? I had read a guide on here that is pretty straight forward, on how to do it, how many clones can I take from a plant? also, will trimming, or training the plants be very effective for grows outdoors? Or just kinda let them do what they want, also, I have seen some outdoor grows, harvest their plants, and cut all the limbs, but leave the main stem intact, can a plant regenerate from this? is their anyway to get 2 harvests out of 1 plant? also, when indoor growing, the grow time causes them to think they are dying.. going from 24/0 to 12/12 which starts budding right? so on an outdoor job, how do the plants know when to bud? with no males will they just bud around september october automatically?

I believe your grow season is (to be safe from frost) June 1 Sept 30 although last year frost did happen in Sept. Some people are Good and can pic there males at around 6-8 weeks of veg. I just watch mine all the time and pic the males as they show themselves. So 6 -8 weeks of veg and you might be able to tell. There's no real magic wand for cloning just follow the instructions to a T and things will be ok for you. How many clones you take from a plant depends on the size of the plant. Yes I find trimming training works well on outdoor plants depending on strain. Yes you can regenerate your plants. If you plant in the spring early the daylights hours are around 9.5 -10 first of June, those daylight hours increase til June 22 which is the longest day of the year, after which daylight hours decrease. As the daylight hours decrease in July and August your girls will start to flower. You should look for a strain that finishes in 6 weeks.,
