I live in the northern Midwest and so I need a strain that is relatively fast flowering, like mid to late September. I'm trying to plan my grow for 2010 and have everything worked out so its not so "spur of the moment". I was thinking of growing three of Dinafems strains, Critical + flowering time 45-50 days , California Hash Plant flowering time 45-50 days, and Powerkush flowering time 45-55 days. These strains should all finish by the end of Sept. right? I also have a question for anyone familiar with OP's auto watering machine, I've looked everywhere and can't find it perhaps someone could point me in the right direction. Where can I find a timer like the one featured in OP's watering method, this is the type that doesn't need pressure it is gravity fed. Thanks for any and all info.

I have never tried a gravity fed watering machine with cannabis but I did with tomatoes. I won't use it again, it keeps the soil too moist.

If you really have to be finished by the end of Sept short flowering strains are not the only issue, the real problem is when they start/finish flowering!! Seed selection will be as critical for you as it is for me in the UK. Check the breeders own website to find out the outdoor finishing times, mould and pest resistance will aslo be an issue if you are quiet far north.

Also note that Dinafem are a spanish breeder who may be stating the outdoor finish time for sunny spain which is probably much warmer in the summer than where you are. Dinafem state 5th Oct for the strains you mentioned in the north this may be as late as the end of Oct on a bad year.

Next Generation Seeds do a few strains that finish mid/late Sept at 49 north and are mould resistant so would seem to fit your bill.
