Q's about buying canadian land or guerrilla?

My mom passed and Iv been thinking about how to invest some of her money. Iv always wanted a secluded acreage to retire on and Iv found plenty of cheap acreages in rural Canada. Some lake or river front.

My question regards how risky it is to grow outdoors in a rural Ontario. Does the government have any aerial surveillance programs? Would it be best to buy 40 acres to grow or guerrilla grow? Would the only risk be a tip off?

And which Provinces are the safest for outdoor growing?
