thinking of staring up next spring

i have a plot set out, Chicagoland area, all i need is to gather the essential tools and inventory to be a successful grow.

since this will be my first outdoor grow, i will be using bagseeds. im thinking of 2-3 plants maybe. since chicago gets cold fast, i am thinking of starting in mid may to make sure that my girls have enough time to finish flowering.

i really just want to put up chicken wire and some nutes, but leave the rest to nature. although i will be visiting them once or twice every two weeks, i want to have the least stressful grow as possible.

are there any preparation i can start now that will lead to a better harvest? i will post pick as soon as possible

id suggest, dig some holes, probably like 2'*2'*2' and mix the native soil with perlite and organic compost of some kind, throw in some nutes if you wanna do organic and get some of those water absorbing crystals they will help incase of a drought.
