planting outdoors late

would it be worth planting outdoors right now in socal? the sun is still nice and hot and I wanna plant some lemon skunk, super thai skunk, white widow, blue hash, og kush and purple wreck. I already have some lowriders outside and I just completed a few plants indoors, what do you guys think?

Re: planting outdoors late

How big are they? You may be all right if you don't plan on them getting huge. I planted an Afghan #1 in my backyard in the last week of June. It was only six inches tall and in a 5 gallon bucket. I eventually transplanted it into an 18 gallon tote. It just started tripping really last week. I expect it to be ready in October. It's big and beautiful now. Easily 5 foot with lots of heads. I'm up in Oregon and it will get colder here faster than it will down there. If it does start to get to cold or look like it will freeze when I'm close to harvest, I just pull it in at night. Or build a make shift greenhouse out of pvc and plastic. If you put then out there they should start flowering right away with a little help. Hope this was helpful.

thanks man that was very helpful, Right now the only plants I have started are 2 candy kush(forgot to mention those) , 1 og kush, and 1 purple wreck, they are 2 weeks old and all on their 3 set of leaves with the tallest being the og kush at 3 inches. I'm wondering if I can get at least a half to an oz off of each outside, how big do you think they'd get? I want at least 2 foot plants, if not i'm thinking of just vegging them under the hps and taking clones, to plant out side for next season.

Re: planting outdoors late

No dude that would be a complete waste. You would barely get a 1/2 and really that isn't worth it at all. Just do them inside prep ypur spot for next year and start from clone.

Re: planting outdoors late

With them being so small, you won't get much growth out of them this year. Maybe a half ounce per plant. Which may not be so bad if you don't have to go any further than your backyard to do it. But I certainly wouldn't hike them out anywhere. If it was me I would throw one out as an experiment and keep the rest indoors.

Thanks for the help guys, I decided to just start em inside and keep a couple mommas for clones for indoors and outdoors next year. I'm just gonna throw some more lowriders outside and instead keep the good genes for cloning.
