Harvesting a Late Winter Sample Grow

I planted six seeds that are a cross of Blueberry and Ice that I made last fall. I was going to be finished until I start a new crop around July, but I wanted to see what characteristics the BlueIce would display. They are great. I smoked as little popcorn buds that I left outside all day and two tokes had me grinning from ear to ear. They have a little bit of the blueberry flavor, but different. Still, the sundried bud smoked smooth enough that I didn't cough.

He He He...I've never been far...just didn't have anything new going on. I'm on a growing hiatus until June/July when I get ready for my next Winter Garden...unless you guys' summer grows give me the urge to jump back in early.

Absolutely! Your garden is looking nice too. Shouldn't be too much longer before your girls plump up and get frosty too.

Re: Harvesting a Late Winter Sample Grow

The trimmed and dried buds are in the jar curing. These are some tight dense buds! Not bad for a throw-away grow to see what the seed was like before committing a run to them.

Believe it or not, this grew in a gallon bleach jug with the top cut off because i ran out of containers when it needed to come out of the 18 oz. party cup.

Do you have an estimate of how much each plant produced?

Of the six blue-ice seeds, only 2 turned out to be girls. Of those two, I got 1.28 oz. from one, and 1.43 oz from the other.

this was a relatively short grow cycle, 112 days from sprout to harvest so the plants didn't vegetate much more than a month or so and were pretty small.

Re: Harvesting a Late Winter Sample Grow

thanks Pgs. I guess luck has a way of equalizing. I was 4 for 4 females on my main grow. The Blueberry X Ice seeds were an afterthought to see what would come out after I had my girls and their clones mostly grown. I'm pleased with the bud structure and potency. This will be one of the main plants I grow this fall.
