Tennessee Outdoor Grow

This is my baby. Grown from a random bag seed. She's about 4.5ft tall. I'm hoping she'll be ready around Nov 10. She's growing in MG Organic and I switched a few weeks ago to bloom booster. She was damaged a bit by fert burn, but she's recovered well.

Re: Tennessee Outdoor Grow

Pretty girl you got there HomerK. I noticed she is in a bucket. Is that a 5 gallon bucket you have there? Have you ever heard of or have witnessed the roots getting too warm?? Either way, good girl. Where are you located?

Re: Tennessee Outdoor Grow

It's been flowering for about 3 weeks now. The hairs are starting to turn amber and the buds are plumping. Guess I'll have to move it indoors. Our first frost isn't until the 18th of next month.

Liquor: It's a 5gal homer bucket. I haven't noticed any problems with it getting too warm, but I haven't really been checking either. Location is undisclosed in the Memphis region .

If I move the plant indoors, can you recommend a cheap way to light it?

well a cheap way to light it would of course be a flashlight. but, if you could go to the casa de pot (home depot) they sell small security lights 75 hps on the cheap.. but you have to bypass the photocell that detects light change to get around the auto off/on thing, that and wire it for a 110 plug... if you do so, JUST BECAREFUL.... no need to burn down a house!!

Looks like your garden got a late start, you may have to finish your girl indoors.

If you do use the 75W hps security lights you can just stick some electrical tape over the photo-sensor rather than rewiring the light. That way all you'll have to do is attach a cord and plug it in. For convenience and consistency, I'd recommend an appliance timer (the ones with a grounded plug, not the light duty lamp timers). You'd be better served with a 150W or even 250W hps lamp, or bite the bullet and buy two of the 75s.

Re: Tennessee Outdoor Grow

Thanks for the advice. Yeah she's a bit late. I planted her in late june. Any guesses as to potential yield?
