i need some advice for a root

so just like 5 min ago

i was looking at the pot i put my germinated seed in about 2 weeks week ago

no sprout at all

i got pissed so i wanted to see whats up so i dumped the pot and there was a root of it that had grown in size dramatictly like about an inch and a half more


the seed was gone that was part of it


so i took the root and re planted it in a larger pot
and watered it

and put it somewhere where it is easier to spot if it does sprout

what do u guys think

when i pulled it out from the original pot
it was kind of dry

do u think it sustained to much shock damage or is the fact that its not sprouting out of the soil unusual or do i just need more patience and to water it more

I do not advocate the commonly used method of germinating seeds in paper towels - for soil growers it is a totally unnecessary extra step. It can cause damage to the fine hairs on the new root, and the sprout dies.
