Re: How Easy is Growing?
How easy is it? It's not easy at all. That's why the herb costs so much.

Re: How Easy is Growing?
Learning to grow MJ is no more difficult than learning to grow tomatoes - in many ways the two plants have similar requirements.
But it costs so much more than tomatoes because it is ILLEGAL in many countries.

Re: How Easy is Growing?
Growing takes a lot of time and commitment (5 or 6 months!!!). Hauling water once a week, going at night, make sure you don't burn plants from thirst or too many nutes, avoid rippers, cops, people, pests, animals...
You can't just go on vacation for 2 - 3 weeks in the heat of the summer and expect them to be alive when you return. The ultimate growspot exists (no watering needed) but hard to find and if close to a river, it means people will be there in the summer. I prefer bringing my water/soil to the spot. Depends on where you live. You need to choose your strain: indicas are smaller and flower earlier and usually have smaller yields. Sativas flower later and are much bigger and yield much more (1 pound!). Then you have hybrid strains (half half) which can be a good compromise. 1 big healthy female is better than a few shitty unattended plants. Cut out all males if you don't want seedy, unsmokable and less potent buds. Ganja grown in soil (vs pots) will give bigger yields in general. Genetics are important to get sugar coated strong shit but wellgrown bagseeds can do the trick to start. It's an awesome feeling to harvest and smoke your ganja as much as it is a horrible one to be ripped (means some piece of shit will be relaxing and puffing away on your stash, you lose a lot of money, your long time efforts were for nothing, you have no weed to smoke ---> depressed). So it's good to have several spots with a couple mjs each. An essential factor is your spot which should be almost invisible. AND TELL NO ONE (except for your dog). I don't think I'd find some mj because I have my own (don't actually go looking for someon else's stuff). And I look for new spots in winter and spring, when growing season's over here. It's worth the effort when you make it! Good luck. |

Last year my 4 girls gave me 72 ounces of dried/cured bud - a pleasing result. Give them good soil (I take a lot of trouble mixing mine), good organic ferts, large pots, and lots of sunshine.

Your so lucky to be living in spain, i wish i could just move over an grow on my roof ahaEverything about your location sounds amazing, apart from the droughts you get? but then again thats what the taps for aha... just have to hope the resivours dont dry out too haha.. Anwyays back on topic.. Aslong as you have a secure spot close to you that you can grow in, MJ is easy to cultivate. there seems to be a lot of hype around growing weed before i started reading up and started this season i thought it would be impossible for me, knowing nothing about growing any plants. WRONG, 1) its not as hard as you think aslong as you read up 2) when you get problems most people on here are happy to help 3) just try it, even if its just with some bagseed you'll get experience and i garuntee you'll be growing the year after because growing is ADDICTIVE! Like cantharis said, probably the hardest part of growing is hauling shit about, otherwise your fine. Just do your reading over summer an by spring you will be a theoretical genious.. D.

Re: How Easy is Growing?
I have not done a grow this year - two reasons, my last years grow (72 ounces dried) will keep me in bud until 2010, and when I should have been sowing this year I had to take Mrs C on a cruise. BUT I am going for my best yield ever in 2009. Just you guys watch this space starting next spring!!!
