security, is it seriously that hard?

come on people, im getting sick and tired of hearing all these threads pissing and moaning about robbers and rippers and pigs. not that i dont care but its that i do care. it sickens me to hear about a fellow growers crops gettin snagged but its even worse when the story reviels that it was easily avoided. how hard is it to find a safe spot and keep you damn big mouth shut about it? if you wouldint feel 100% safe leaving a big bag of money in your spot, dont plant your friggin weed there!!! do a little pre season scouting for a grow spot. climb thru the nastiest brush you can find to a spot where noone else would ever want to go. i scout for a new spot every year for several weeks before i even germinate my seeds and thus have never gotten robbed. everyone get your shit togeather so next fall we dont have to loose so much ganja to thieves.
which reminds me of a certain song...
"i gotta get my props, cops, come and try to snatch my crops..."

I got ripped off this season. About a month ago.

I am currently in the process of prepping for next season. Security is the most important aspect of this operation.

I have been wandering aimlessly deep in the woods. I will succeed next season.

Re: security, is it seriously that hard?

Thanks, kind words. It was really fucking hard to see all my 6 footers ripped. But, I'll get 'em next year. This was my first outdoor grow and I still consider it a success cause I know I can at least grow big girls. Now I gotta hide them better.

Re: security, is it seriously that hard?

Everyone learns something from every grow they do.

I learned my first grow that even when the plants are hung and almost dry there still not safe from theives. Even when you harvest your plants dont tell anyone anything until its dry and jarred for storage and possibly locked up lol. I found this out last year when I hung my plant in the garage someone broke in and stole it and guess who it was, the only people I told I pulled my plants. Dont trust anyone when it comes to growing, everyone loves free weed and theyll backstab to get it.

I hope I saved someone from telling someone they pulled there plants and are drying. There still vulnerable even when you think your season is successful. Good luck this season.

Re: security, is it seriously that hard?

yes it is hard, you never know where a plane may fly or where a hunter may roam. in many places is very hard to find an ideal spot to set up at. the open places you do find will undoubtedly be frequented by humans at sometime. take a look at my bucket grown in a swamp thread, i think after the work is put in that is one of the most secure ways to grow. its good cover and people avoid swamps.

Another good thing to do is to have several plots very far apart from eachother... If one gets found, you still will have a few other plots to enjoy (hopefully).

Re: security, is it seriously that hard?

I am soooo glad I live in a legal state. The one time I had the nerve to call the law on the thiefs, the neighbor boy and his friends, I got the plants back. We even got a copy of the police report. It listed the strains, Vintage Mendo and.....I forgot the other name(it's been many years).

just remember, its only legal till the dea sees it, then its a federal offence no matter what your state says.
