Re: How to measure PH in soil?
I bought one of those cheap ones, used it once, it told me the pH of my water was 7 - either that or it didn´t move at all.
But I am a heretic - I never bother with pH now.

Re: How to measure PH in soil?
Quote:
Supposing your soil contains some moisture that has a pH of 6 - and you now mix that with a larger volume of pure water that has a pH of 7. The resulting mix will have a pH between 6 and 7, but probably much closer to 7. So a false reading results. The only accurate way is to measure the pH of soil direct. Good luck with your meters.
