Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

Well they look healthy cavalier. They'll start budding soon. I still have one plant that hasn't really started budding yet. I have some others that just started last week. Then I have some others that began budding the second week of july. Each strain is different, and sometimes individual plants seem to want to do their own thing. I bet you see pistils within a week. Keep the faith brother--it'll happen.

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

Maybe a stupid question but are there any light leaks like steetlights cars or houselights? Do you visit at night with a flashlight? The picture you posted is with a flash, so I was just wondering if something was distubing the dark period. Hope they start soon for you.

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

Get you a magnifying glass and look closely at the internodes. Surely they have something going on. You just might not be able to see it at a glance. They got to have some preflowering you just have to look ALOT closer. To add to the comment that patriofarmer made about lights shining on your plants after dark... anything that is not any brighter than full moon light isn't going to hurt any marijuana plants.. All the hype about "total" darkness is really blown way out of proportion. Now I wouldn't go visiting my plants every night or every other night for several minutes at a time with a bright flash light. That might screw you up... such as delay your flowering...

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

can you give us more pics of the stems of the plant, showing its nodes?

..that'll be where the flowers form, a few closeups of its nodes may show some flowers much better than pics of the whole plant or the top of it

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

they are in the dark all night, the only light they could get would be from the moon.

i dont even bring a flashlight out there to visit them, i usually use my cellphone for light. and thats the second time ive taken pictures of em.

i will try to get some pictures of the nodes as soon as i can, i had taken some with the last batch of pictures but they all came out blurry.

i can only visit my plants at night so it will be hard to use a magnifying glass.

thanks all, new pics soon

They are females. Females generally show later. Males are the first to expose themselves. Cheers!

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

just something i should probly add ...

im not sure if it makes a difference or not but when these plants first came out of the soil in cups i put them under a normal house lamp for 48 hours then transplanted them outside. could that have damaged them some how?

ive also been giving my plants a half a scoop of no-xplode once every other week and it seems to make the plant quite happy.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bsn/xplode.html <- what i give my plants

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

Hhahah, I use No-Xplod for MY BODY can't imagine why I would for my pretty girl's body. I would love to hear the logic behind this one.

Maybe it is for the carbs like the molasses technique??

I am not saying you are wrong cavalier, I am just really curious as to what it provides that Fox Farm, Miracle Gro, Advanced Nutrients and Sam's Plant Food , can't.

Re: mid august and not really any signs of anything on my plant ...

hooray! two of my 3 plants have definite pistils! one of them didnt seem to have the two white hairs yet on the top but i thought i found a few on the lower nodes... ill just have to pray, and check up on them again in a few days when they are showing it more.

they are growing amazingly, another 4-5 inches since a few days ago.
