Should I be worried?

I put a few clones out last week...yeah very late I know, but I read up on it a little and people said that starting in July is alright, especially with clones. I work with a guy who started in July last year and ended up with 12lbs. Anyways my question is this:

A few of the clones are clearly showing sex. Is this a problem? When I started some clones back in march, they were also showing sex and they started flowering very early and I ended up with crap yields cause of the tiny plants.

Will these clones start flowering early and not get a chance to get a reasonable size for an alright yield?
Right now they're from 8-12" tall.

Well, they are clones, so they will be the same sex as the mother plant they were taken from. Hopefully you took clones from a female. I am not sure why anyone would grab clones of a male. As for yeild I can not really give a good estimation but if they are 12 inches going into flowering, I would not expect much.

For someone to start an outdoor grow in July and end up with 12 lbs sounds absurd. Either way, clone or seed, you would need about 100 plants to get that amount of yeild. That is not a precise calculation but just an example of what kind of number of plants it would take to get that amount of pot with that little amount of growing time in the season.

I smell a big heap of BS here.

Surely you know that the clones were taken from a female, so they will be female.

I have no reason to lie about someone elses grow, its just what I was told, and I know that either way, 12 pounds or not, he ended up with thousands of dollars. But 12 is what I was told.

And yes, obviously the clones are female. Not my question

I made this thread to ask a simple question, not have you guys question some story I was told by a trustworthy coworker. I don't know otherwise but neither do any of you.

ok as i can see (besides the guy above me) nobody has really answered your question so i will man. Ok, the ones you started in march started flowering because the days are shorter in march so they started flowering and didnt stop. It is July now so the days are still quite long (but days are getting shorter everyday by about a minute or 2) So yes, if you put the clones out right now they will def VEG and grow for a little bit (even tho its showing pre flowers it doesnt matter) Anyways they should grow for a while until about mid to late august and then start flowering but dont expect huge plants or anything but they should definitely be better then your march clones. peace

hes just misunderstood about why the showing sex is a problem.

just keep an eye out for the white pistols, the more there is....the nearer you are to starting proper flowering.

The clones seem to be pushing out new leaf every day. And I'm just starting to see signs of sex on a nice big (well not big big but much bigger than all the clones) nice bagseed Indica plant and I think its a girl!!!!!!! No hairs yet but the teardrop shape is starting to develop, I'm waiting on some hairs. Looks a lot more like a female than a male so far but I might be wrong.
