Very late in july are there signs of sex??
Whats up GrassCity

I was wondering if anyone else with outdoor plants can't see signs of sex yet. Mine are decent sized but show nothing. only small green things that look like more new growths.

Heres pictures and tell me what ya'll think

I bet someone could make a lot of money if they set up a little stand at the Grand Canyon and sold Yo-Yo's with 500 foot strings.

Not yet, but very soon. The nodes are alternating which means the plants have reached maturity. I would say theyll be showing sex within a week.

theres not enough evidence (as in hairs) yet to tell the sex, but by looking at the plant, she looks like a female. males are a darker green with some wide ass fan leaves. like the guy above said, keep a look out for hairs in a week or so. nice grow man

In my experience, until the preflowers appear there is NO way to tell a male and female apart.
The colour and the leaves are identical, in a given strain.

Nice sharp close-ups, well done, but I cannot see any pistils yet. Nor any balls on sticks.

Yea, I gotta agree with cantharis. I can not imagine color or shape having much to do with the sex of the plant. I think it should be maybe a week or so to tell sex, although it is right around the corner, so keep your eyes peeled. I have a garden of plants at that same stage right now and I am visiting often to get the quickest drop I can on their gender.

Looks like a sativa. Cover one branch with a black paper bag, this should accelerate flowering in that part.

In the second picture it would appear you might have a male. Give it another day or two just for confirmation.

yeah mine still havent shown signs of sex. its fucking july 22 and i still cant tell. i hear the females show up a bit late rather than the males that show up early. so maybe its a good thing that your waitin? just give it a while and be patient.

Yh you cant tell sex by colour ect....
Believe me you will know what sex it is when it shows. I understand when growing for your 1st time its very exciting and you wanna be extra sure so i dont blame you for posting. The white hairs are like nothing you will have seen on your plant so far. So keep checking for them. THe balls....thats what we dont want!
After this grow you will relise sexing really isnt as hard as its made out!
