yellowing

i have a plant that just started showing sex about a week or two ago. it is about a foot and a half tall. almost 2 feet. and the bottom leaves are turning yellow and falling off.
its the first 2 or 3 steps of leaves on the bottom. they turn yellow. wrinkle up and get crusty... then fall off.
it seems the more that fall off the more start turning yellow.
can anyone help me figure out what to do to stop this?

i have it outdoors in a big pot filled halfway with MG organic potting mix and MG perlite.
i water it every other day when the soil is dry. i use filtered water to water it.
and it gets sun all day from morning to night.

if you need to know anything else just ask me and i will let you know.
any help will be appreciated. thank you=)

oh and also i need to know if its okay to give cannabis plants fertilizer?
and if so...wich kind of fertilizer and when should i give it to my plant? when its flowering? or before?

Tell me about it. Plenty of noobs who are too lazy or stupid to look at the stickies and do searches. A couple of years ago when I was here in another incarnation I tried hard to help the noobs, but got fed up with being asked the same stupid questions over and over again. No-one could ever make the effort to help themselves.

if it bothers you so much to just answer a simple question to help someone out then maybe you shouldnt be on here at all trying to give advice.
i need some help since i dont know any pro growers that can help me out here. so if anyone wants to help me out i would appreciate it...if not then dont post some shit talking bullshit about being a noob or being stupid just cause i cant find what i need.

Is it working its way up the plant? Classic nitrogen deficiency in my opinion.

Why not post this in Sick Plants and Problems? There are a couple good posters in there that are helpful, Help_Needed knows his shit.

Well there are tons of fertilizers you can use man. It all depends on your budget. I would personally go with one of the fertilizers that are geared towards marijuana cultivation, Fox Farms or Advanced Nutrients are 2 right off the top of my head. Fox Farms Grow Big is one I use for vegetative growth, its 6-4-4, the first number is Nitrogen.

If you dont got the money or a hydro store near you, go to the Home Depot or Lowes and look for fertilizers with a higher Nitrogen number. The first number is nitrogen. Anything meant for tomatoes will work decent.

I use MG all purpose on my plants outside along with the Fox Farm Grow Big but mine are right in the ground, I dont know if using that in pots is such a good idea, its got a ton of nutes in it(24-8-16) and I dont know if you want to use that on plants so small. Id never use MG on my plants in the house under the HPS, but outside I do for the extra boost of Nitrogen.

I really cant help you with the cheap fertilizers at the regular stores, I havent messed with them much besides the standard MG.

Here is what the numbers mean

N-P-K

Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium

Good Luck man.

Oh and whatever you do buy, dont give it the packages recommended dose right off the bat, use like a 1/4 of what it recommends on the first feeding and see how the plant responds. Work your way up. In pots you dont got much room for error.

the bottom leaves are not getting enough light to survive. you should have filled that pot up all the way, that way the pot wouldn't have blocked the light. the only thing you can really do now is take it out fill in the bottom and re pott, if not your bottom leaves will keep dieing and you will only get good bud sites on the top. even so, your plant is in no terrible danger, and isn't much to worry about, but i would reccomend repotting.

yeah i only had enough soil to fill half of that pot. i am going to buy more soil today and fill the bottom.i dont think its the sun...my plant gets sun all day throughout the whole plant. even the bottom by the roots gets sun. the pot doesnt block sun at all. so im guessing i should just get more potting mix. and throw a little fertilizer in it. and see how well it does.

i heard balanced fertilizers are good is that true?
for an example 20-20-20
and also what is the stage called when a plant starts showing sex?
