they dont take much caring for at all.

if inside, just water and place in direct sunlight,

if outside, dont run over it with your truck and itll be ok.

scoobydoo, I presume that is another of your fictional opinions, it is certainly incorrect.

I grow peyote from seed to a flowering adult in 2 years.

One of my pots of peyote.

will regular planting soil do, or do I need deserty almost beach sand, I realise that peyote is a totally different specimen, its cactus and not a weed. What kind of soil do I need?

Peyote do not like anything to do with peat, and prefer an alkaline compost. I make up my own mix. 3 measures of loam, 4 of coarse grit, 2 limestone (or crushed eggshell) 1 garden compost.
Those bags labelled cactus mix invariably contain some peat and are no good for peyote.

your a saint, two years isn't bad at all. I love mescaline and it doesn't take alot of the cacti to get you to trip. Amazing plant. I think I ate less than ab 8th in my last mescaline trip and it lasted 10 hrs and I ended up writing a poem that shocks me to this day whenever I read it that I could right something like that.

thanks for the help, ill go down to the local plant shop and ask for this stuff when I end up buying the cacti seeds.

I think the seeds are hard to come by in the Land of the Not So Free, cos Dubya and his cronies insist this beautiful, endangered species must be illegal. Nurseries in the UK are sometimes reluctant to post seed and plants to the US, canīt think of any good reason why. I always have Lophophora williamsii seed to spare, it is perfectly legal here, PM me if you want some, we will do a deal. I have sent lots to growers in the US and some in the EU (it is even illegal in France and some other EU countries).

This year I may even have a yearling or two to spare.

http://www.sjamaan.com/en/1300_Peyot..._Cuttings.html

are a few that I have seen just from googling it, I don't know if they ship to the US, but I have another one that is from inside the US that is a Peyote Conservationist. He sells the excess cacti that he has no room for in his atrium, and they are already grown.

as long as you bring it inside during the cooler months and put it under a window seal it should be good.

Yes it does, it is not tolerant of frosts. Mine grows outside but it is frost free on my roof.
