Flowering in the summer (help plz)

I have two plants in my garden and i need them to start flowering. Problem is the day light hours are getting longer, i have heard on this sometime before about putting a black bag over your plants to keep the light 12/12 but i thought to myself today would it be cool for the plants??? or could it create mould? if it can then is there any other methods to keep it in darkness that anyone of you has tried?? thanks!

Where abouts are you located?? Where I am the days are already getting shorter. I think the solstice was on the 21'st (correct me if i'm wrong) just give it another few days to show pre-flowers that would be my best guess. Once the plant senses that the days are getting shorter and shorter it will start to show sex. If you started putting bags over it you could really fuck up the outdoor schedule unless you did it until they were ready for harvest and that sounds a little too tedious for me at least for an outdoor grow. Just my opinion If your in an area growing outdoors where the days are still getting longer it all depends on how tall your plants are but anything that wont crunch the plant and keep all light out should do the job just fine. When you cover the plant your going to have increased humidity whether you like it or not.

If you are in the northern hemisphere the days are already getting shorter. You can use a large black trash bag, and cover your plants, if you do this for 2-3 weeks, you can stop once they begin flowering good. and they will continue to flower by themselves...

I live in the UK, but i thought the days dont get shorter until late august? or am i wrong if i leave them when will they start to flower?

yes you are wrong, however you still wont be harvesting till late september early october... so if u are wanting bud sooner work out a light scedule buy some of those black rubbish bins and stick them over ur plants upside down with a block on top to give a tight fit(not that ive ever done this just an idea) but then maybe a hole in the top with a black flexible tube running down to alow them to breath and humidity to escape.... i dunno what dose everyone else think?

cool well i got a kind of mini greenhouse its not the one in the picture but its not too far off. could i just make a cover using black bags to cover the whole thing. and maybe stick a fan at the bottom of it aswell for it to breath. would that work?

well if you can gaurantee that no light will get in then i cant see why it wouldnt work.... but whats the rush anyway...why not wait it out....ul have more bud that way?

because all my family from america are coming over in october and i need them done by then. sucks i know but its better then nothing. They are already a nice size because some where indoor for a few months they where about 3 1/2 foot tall when i moved them outside in april i havent measured them recently but i would say the smallest is about 5 and 1/2 foot at least.
